The procedure to install ClockworkMod recovery – which is a custom recovery used to install custom ROMs – on Xperia devices just got a lot easier and simpler thanks to RecoverX, a graphical user interface-based tool developed by XDA Senior Member that lets you install ClockworkMod recovery on almost any Xperia device with a few simple clicks of the mouse. Using Recover X is quite simple. As long as your device is rooted and is running on a stock Gingerbread or Ice Cream Sandwich ROM, you simply need to connect it to the computer, start up RecoverX, choose the version of recovery you want to install, grant it superuser access on the phone, and RecoverX does everything else automatically. What’s even better is that you don’t need to unlock the bootloader on your phone for this (except for newer devices such as Xperia S, P, U which do need an unlocked bootloader).

A) INSTALLING xRecovery WHAT YOU NEED: SuperOneClick:- OR xRecovery (3 files within the.rar file):- Note: There are 3 versions of xRecovery (xRecovery v0.1 for Xperia X8, xRecovery v0.2 and xRecovery v0.3 for Xperia X10) but only xRecovery v0.1 will work on the Xperia X8. These xRecovery files are developed specific to a type of android phone not upgrades/updates. Root Explorer:- HOW IT IS DONE: Step 1: Root your Xperia X8 - download and unzip SuperOneClickv1.9.1-ShortFuse to PC Desktop - connect Xperia X8 to PC (Do not mount) - on your phone select - on your phone select - Launch SuperOneClick - click - you will see -click and then & message - Reboot Xperia X8 NOTE: If SuperOneClick is running but hangs mid-process you need to install.NET Framework v2.0 or above. 1) usb debugging still enabled? - usb debugging - settings 2) after system crashed try - OR try re-installing busybox 3) skip the busybox 1.1.7 install and COPY ALL THE 3 FILES (one by one) FROM xRecovery Folder to folder (i.e. Busybox, chargemon and xrecovery.tar).
