Hey fellows, I bought this after running the demo. Which was tuff due to my lack of Russian Language. Anyway, I seen GoGamer had the English version I think and bought it. The manual is complete English.
However after installing three times I've yet to get in the game. I have TH2G and I'm trying to run in any resolution.
Hs anyone bought thhis game and if so do you know what the problem could be. My guess is the resolution. But there is no configurator. Any insight would be appreciated!
Any way for me to force it into higher res mode. I just bought the game.
Now after 5h of playing, only three things I'm complaining about. There is no good general purpose view, that you could use all the time. If you are simulation purist you naturally use only the cockpit view. But if you just want the best possible view of the obstacles and the ground in front of you in order to plan your route you have to toggle between the camera above the car and inside cam (in the forest). I have only used and tuned the cheapest can-UAZ, but it seems like the game would simuate some other planet than earth.

Try jumping with your car and it seems like the gravitation field would be somewhere between earth and moon. Tracks look realistic but if you drive to the borders of the map. It resets car automatically. Also if you drive too far from the fast trial tracks it does the same. Irritating feature.
Different grip levels on different surfaces seems to be modelled pretty well. But because of point 2. The grip still somehow feels unreal. Anyway this is the best off-road game I have ever played (edit: I don't mean rally games). Tuning of the cars is designed quite nicely, and additional parts really work like I think they should in real life.
Flipping the car is very easy. The lack of wide-screen mode does not bother me, although it would add to the experience. I haven't tried arcade mode yet. What does it do? I have all 4 UAZ renditions, Full Drive: UAZ 4x4, the Ural Call Addon (this addon is a MUST HAVE!!), Full Drive 2: Hummer 4x4 and Full Drive 2: UAZ 4x4. All three of these games are AWESOME, only the first one is in English, but the menu layout is the same with all, so it's easy to figure it out.
These games are an absolute must have for any true off-road enthusiast. If anyone is interested in some 100% savegames for these titles let me know. I have some for all three. Oh yeah, you can also force it to whatever resolution you want through the videosettings.scr file.
Just open it with notepad and edit the resolution numbers. You'll have to do this every time you change the games graphical settings, because when you do, it'll revert to one of the games default resolutions. You can also mess with the camera settings and FOV settings by editing the Model.scr files in the car directory's. I myself set all the cameras back a ways so you can see the interior more (like GTR), and also set the cockpit view to have an FOV of 100. The difference is awesome.
I recommend you install all 3 patches for the first UAZ game, but DO NOT install the 'optimization kit' for UAZ 2 unless you are having massive issues running the game and your FPS is way down, because all those kits do is dumb down the graphics horribly. The Ural Call addon is also a MUST HAVE for the first UAZ 4x4 game.
