Octane Render Cinema 4d Plugin Download
Hi all, I'm selling my Octane Render license, which includes the standalone and Cinema 4D plugin. Asking 285 euros (approx. This license is version 1x only, but you will save about $57 even after upgrading, if you wish to do so, you could even wait for a future discount to get version 2x even cheaper yet. Any questions don't hesitate to ask, just PM me!
Quick Info: Octane is a very popular GPU (Cuda) based 3D renderer, expect to see speeds enormously faster than your traditional brute-force CPU renders. Plugin has features of standalone built into Cinema 4D, as well as a live render window that updates in real-time. Currently, only Nvidia cards are supported. Multiple cards can be used with Cuda.
You can find the download links for Windows. Installed the OctaneRender for Cinema 4D plugin. And do not see an Octane tab at the top of the Cinema 4D host.

Check it out yourself. You won't be disappointed! (. To compare Thea's Presto MC to Octane you would have to switch Octane to PMC mode to have a better apples to apples comparison. Presto MC in Thea traces caustics and other complex lighting with very high accuracy. Direct Lighting in Octane is very different, does not trace caustics, and is a more simple calculation than Octane's PMC mode. With that Octane should be crazy slow in comparison to Thea. Thea also does now have real time updating in the latest plugin of Thea for C4D.
- Cinema 4D is a 3D Modelling. Octane Render plugin for. I'm trying to get into Octane render for cinema4d and have downloaded the demo to test it out to evaluate.
- Octane Render for Cinema4D. I'm also looking Octane Render for Cinema 4D R17 and I. We highly recommend testing the demo version from our downloads page to.
You have to go to plugin Thea Darkroom to get the realtime updating. One cool thing here is you can navigate in the darkroom window with the same controls as is in the regular window. So Alt + Left Click for rotation etc. I find Thea's material system much easier.

Octane has strange names like float texture and cosinemix with all those nodes. I'm not sure what some of it does still. Ok, you experienced guys, here is how I use C4D. I use C4D for animations, period. What I need, is images that look good with respect to anti aliasing and preferably ambient occlusion.
Sometimes I use the cel shader / cel render options. I do not do architecture, and never still images. My main issue is that rendering, especially test renders, take too much time. I have studied a lot of tutors regarding this, for example GreyScale Gorilla has a tutor that takes a 1 minute long render down to one second, by tweaking render settings. Still I am considering building my own render farm, to get things moving, even if I have a super duper computer with dual CPU (two Xeon 5680). My renderings do not have to be much realistic at all, like architecture renderings, they just have to look decent, pretty, and be fast. So I have looked into Octane, and now also Thea.
I have tried the test versions, but the overall lack of tutors have stopped me for testing it for animation, seems like everyone are doing still images. And both Octane and Thea (trial versions) are insanely slow on my machine, nothing moves. My tests consist of primitive cubes in C4D, rotating. GPU 1: NVIDIA Geforce GTX 470 GPU 1: NVIDIA Geforce GTX 760 Dual Intel Xeon X5680 Perhaps I should forget 3rd party renders, use the C4D built in render and go for the render farm.
Or try to find a tutor that explains exactly how to get started in C4D with Thea doing animations. Ok, you experienced guys, here is how I use C4D. I use C4D for animations, period.

Everything you say points towards Cinema's own renderer being your best choice anyway. I don't know if you have or are planning to upgrade to R16 but I think that will be of more benefit than a new 3rd party renderer.
Do not ask your children to strive for extraordinary lives such striving may seem admirable but it is a way of foolishness. Help them instead to find the wonder and the marvel of an ordinary life. Show them the joy of tasting tomatoes, apples and pears. Show them how to cry when people and pets die. Show them the infinite pleasure in the touch of a hand.
And make the ordinary come alive for them. The Extraordinary will take care of itself! Help me by sharing the website with your friends:) Skype: zaidsparrowmh Categories. Recent Posts.
