Bill a hobbyist user from Hawaii writes: Bought it about 10 years ago, made a lot of soundtracks, you can record your own songs, and then back them up on DVDS or CD's, using modern recording software. I used a sony pro cassette deck but am sure there is software available to use other media. You can record multiple tracks, playing along with each track using another instrument, and it has modes that will accompany you automatically, if your a little talented its a nice unit. I took it out of the closet and was testing it for a friends garage sale and then I realized that I still want to learn to read music and learn the keyboard, but its pretty amazing the sounds you can come up with. I love it so much, and I used it when I used to take piano lessons.

Now that I quit, I use it for practicing on the Organ. I even bought a sustain pedal for it. The thing I like the most about 990 is that I can layer sounds, along with creating my own voice.

The only setback for me is that when theres a power outage, or just unplugging the humungous adapter, all my memory gets deleted. I gotta find a way to store my memory. Does anyone know how? Kathleen Gleeson a hobbyist user from United States, Livonia, Michigan writes: I have a Concertmate 990, I saw in the manual, if you accidently pull the MIDI ADAPTER-Turtle Beach- which I did accidently, it will lose it's Sensing mechanism for the In-port. I tried it with a regular Midi USB still the MIDI IN won't work. So I talked it over with a Rep.

There and they told me to bring it in to their store. The Concertmate music is emulated on the tests of Midi tests of music programs I have for testing Mide in/out the Concertmate, Music is heard on the pc-Dell DEMSION B1100 and on the Concertmate keyboard. Also sound tested in the Dell Sound the music is emulated=the the software is doing the hardware- that is what the clerk said about the Midi usuage of the IN/OUT PORTS. I hope I got my message across and to the point. Only the IN-PORT is not working on the Midi adapters that I have.

I have music programs that need a Midi adapter with my Concertmate 990. Has anyone else had that problem with their Concermate 990 and another pc besides Dell?
